Ambuja Cements to expand its cement plant at Bhatapara

Ambuja Cements to expand its cement plant at Bhatapara in Baloda Tehsil in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. The clinker to be ground at Bhatapara unit will be 1.67 MTPA for 2.40 MTPA cement production and additional 2.75 MTPA clinker will be transported to other cement grinding units of M/s Ambuja Cements Ltd. Existing cement mill area is 1,512 m2. Vertical Roller Pre-grinding Mill (VRPM) (175 TPH) and grinding mill will be installed besides chain bucket Elevator (500 TPH) in 200 m2 area. No additional land will be required. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 450 million.

Clinker from existing cement plant, fly ash from NTPC, Korba and Gypsum from Jodhpur, Rajsthan will be used as raw material. It is proposed to use clinker produced at the existing unit. Fly ash and gypsum will also be available from the existing source. Existing plant is of 1.80 of cement grinding and 1.70 MTPA clinker production capacity and cement capacity will be enhanced by 0.60 MTPA by adding fly ash grinding.
