ABG Cements setting up 3.3 mtpa Akar Moti, Abdasa cement unit in Kachchh- Bhuj in Ahmedabad district in Gujarat. The project also involves setting up of 3.3 mtpa of cement plant and also a captive power plant with a capacity of 2 x 30 MW. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 17620 million and arond 354 ha of land is required for the project. The project is expected to get commissioned by September 2011.
ABG Cements has reported progress on its upcoming cement plant at Kachchh in Gujarat. The project involves setting up a 3.3 million tpa cement plant at Abadasa in Kachchh district. The area on which this cement plant is being set up has adequate quantities of limestone, which is the basic raw material for manufacturing cement. The project also involves a 100 MW captive power plant. The project is likely to cost Rs.12,000 15,000 million. As of December 2009, the project is under implementation. The project is expected to be completed by September-December 2011.
