Maanheruka Group is planning to foray into cement sector by setting up a cement plant with a capacity of 1.5 million tpa in Dhanda village in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 6000 million. The project is still in planning stage as it is awaiting for limestone reserves allocation.
Shree Cements is planning to set up an integrated cement plant near Village Semaradih & Bharuwadih in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. The project involves setting up a Integrated Cement Plant of capacity 2 x 1.5 million tpa, Clinker of capacity 5.2 million tpa, Captive Power Plant of capacity 2 x 25 MW and limestone mining of capacity 4.8 million tpa. Limestone (4.8 MTPA), Gypsum (0.36 MTPA), Fly ash (1.82 MTPA), Coal / Petcoke (0.254 MTPA) will be used as raw materials for Cement plant. * Pet coke (582 TPD) and Lime (184 TPD) will be required for the proposed captive power plant.* Bed ash and fly ash will be generated from the power plant and used in existing cement plant.* The project is estimated to cost Rs.11,000 million. The project is awaiting statutory clearances.
ACC Ltd is planning to set up a new clinker unit in Jamul Cement works with a capacity of 2.79 million tpa and allied grinding units in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The expansion programme will be implemented over a period and will be completed by 2015. The new clinker unit will feed new grining units coming up in Sindri in Jharkhand and Kharagpur unit in West Bengal. The project will entail an investment of Rs. 8000 million.
