Birla Corp is setting up 3.0 million tpa cement unit in Satna

Project Location : Satna, Madhya Pradesh

Birla Corporation has reported progress on its proposed cement plant at Satna in MP. The project involves setting up a 3.0 million tpa greenfield cement manufacturing project in an area of 2000 acres of land near its existing cement plant at Satna in Madhya Pradesh. The project is estimated to cost Rs.12,000 million. The company is in the process of obtaining lease for limestone mines. The project is expected to be commissioned by mid 2011.

Nagori Cement plans expansion of Kukshi unit

Project Location : Kukshi, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh

Nagori Cement is planning to expand its cement plant located at Kukshi in Dhar district of MP. The project involves increasing the capacity from 20 tpd to 100 tpd. Coal, Lime stone, Clay, Laterite and Gypsum will be used as raw material. Vertical Shaft Kiln (VSK) will be used for the production of Portland Pozzolona Cement (PPC). The process will involve raw meal grinding, homogenization, nodulizing, clinker formation in VSK, feeding of clinker and gypsum to ball mill to get PPC and packing. The project is estimated to cost Rs.44 million. The project has received statutory clearances.

Sham Steel Industries plans cement unit in Madhya Pradesh

Project Location : Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh

Sham Steel Industries is planning to set up a Greenfield integrated steel and a cement plant with a capacity of one million tonne each in M.P. The company would produce TMT steel bars in the plant. Also a 500-MW captive power plant is planned. The project is estimated to cost Rs..10,000 million and is in planning stages.
