Orient Cement to expand its Nashirabad cement grinding unit located at Jalgaon district in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 432.8 million. At the present location, the process will be grinding of clinker with fly ash and gypsum. Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and Pozzolona Portland Cement (PPC) are presently produced in the ratio of 30.70 in the existing plant and after proposed expansion, the product mix will change to 10:90 ratio. Fly ash (1,915 TPD) will be sourced from Bhusaval TPS and gypsum (195 TPD) from Mumbai. The project is environment friendly as it will consume Fly ash (1,915 TPD) as a resource material.
