Goldstone Cements plans greenfield unit in Meghalaya

Project Location : Musiang, Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya

Goldstone Cements is planning to set up a greenfield cement plant in Meghalaya. The project involves setting up a 1.65 mtpa clinker and a 2.54 mtpa cement plant along with captive power plant of capacity 40 MW in three phases at Village Musiang Lamare (Old) in Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya. The clinker will have capacities of 0.412 mtpa , 0.413 mtpa and 0.825 mtpa in first second and third phases respectively. The Cement Grinding Facility will have 0.635 mtpa, 0.635 mtpa and 1.27 mtpa in the first, second and third phases respectively. As of February 2009, the project has obtained statutory clearances.

GNG Group plans to set up integrated cement unit in Meghalaya

Project Location : Meghalaya, Meghalaya

GNG Group is planning to set up an integrated cement plant in Meghalaya. The project involves setting up a 1.0 million tpa cement plant in two phases. The first phase with a capacity of 0.6 million tpa will be commissioned by April 2010 while the second phase with a capacity f 0.4 million tpa will be commissioned in 2011. The project is estimated to cost Rs.4500 million. As of December 2009, the project is in the planning stage

Nilanchal Cement plans integrated cement unit in Lumshnong

Project Location : Umlong, Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya

Nilanchaal Cement is planning to set up an Integrated Cement Plant at Umlong in near Lumshnong in Rymbai Elaka in Khliehriat in Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya. The project involves setting up an Integrated Cement Plant of capacity 1.0 Million TPA along with Captive Power Plant (FBC, 30 MW). The project is estimated to cost Rs.5164 million. As of July 2010, the company was asked by the ministry of environment and forests to prepare detailed EIA / EMP as per the terms of reference and submit for clearance. Star Cement Meghalaya plans cement clinker unit in Lumshnong

Project Location : Lumshong, Jaintia Hills district,

Star Cement Meghalaya (an indirect subsidiary of Century Plyboards) is planning to set up a Cement Clinker Unit (1.75 Million TPA) and Captive Power Plant (30 MW) at Lumshnong in Khliehriat in Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya. The proposed will use state- of-the-art pre calciner technology. The project is estimated to cost Rs.6658.1 million. As of November 2009, the project has obtained clearance from ministry of environment and forests.

Latest News

The company had tied up funds to the tune of Rs. 7450 million through 6 banks. It will also raise another Rs. 1500 million through private equity placements of its subsidiary Cement Manufacturing Co Ltd.
