Sanghi Industries has reported progress on its upcoming greenfield cement project at Sanghipuram in Kutch district of Gujarat. The project involves setting up an additional 4.5 million tpa cement plant and 120 MW thermal power plant with an investment of Rs.12,500 million. The proposed cement plant consists of major machineries like raw mill capacity of 950 tph, lignite mill capacity of 100 tph and two nos. clinker mills capacity of 303 tph. While the cement plant is expected to cost Rs.10,000 million, the power project will cost around Rs.2,500 million. The project is under implementation and likely to be commissioned in 2009.
Sanghi Infrastructure is planning to set up an Cement plant at Sanghigram in Karitalai in Vijayraghavgarh in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves Setting up of Cement Plant (Phase-I, Clinker, 3.0 MTPA; Cement, 3.8 MTPA) along with Captive Limestone Mine (1,244.85 ha, 5.64 MTPA) near Jammuwane in Khurd district of Madhya Pradesh. Raw materials required for proposed project will be High grade and low grade Limestone (5.64 MTPA), Bauxite (0.24 MTPA), Iron ore (0.06 MTPA), Coal (0.6 MTPA) and Gypsum (0.03 MTPA). The project is estimated to cost Rs.11802.4 million. *As of July 2009, the project has obtained statutory clearances
